Result for Halton Haven Hospice following merseyflow fundraiser

The merseyflow team has helped local charity Halton Haven Hospice by raising over £500 to support its essential work.

They recently helped raise vital funds for the charity by organising a series of dress down days during the World Cup. During the competition, merseyflow staff could pay to take part in dress down days, with all funds being donated to the palliative care charity.

This follows the efforts of one merseyflow team member who raised money by participating in the Liverpool Rock and Roll half-marathon.

The team’s combined efforts mean since May merseyflow has helped to raise more than £570 for the charity. At the end of the year, the total amount raised by staff will be matched by emovis, merseyflow’s parent company, providing another fundraising boost for Halton Haven Hospice.

Faye O’Neill, a fundraiser at Halton Haven Hospice, said the charity was very happy with merseyflow’s fundraising efforts. “This is great news for the hospice and this money will go a long way to help us,” she said. "I know the merseyflow team has a range of other fundraisers planned. We’re looking forward to see how we can support them in their efforts.  Our goal is to provide the best quality of life for our patients and their families and any help we can get from local businesses to help do that is invaluable.”

Anthony Alicastro, Managing Director of merseyflow said the team was proud to support a charity that provided such a vital service to people.“We’re pleased to be supporting Halton Haven Hospice and will be doing our utmost to help raise money for them and to get involved in local fundraising efforts,” he said “The team is passionate about helping the community and they already have lots of ideas in place.”

Halton Haven Hospice was chosen as merseyflow’s nominated charity following a staff vote and now the merseyflow team is working hard to raise money for the charity which provides palliative care to people living and around Halton. The hospice provides free specialist care to people of Halton and the surrounding areas. It helps people and their families who are living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. The hospice relies on the help of local businesses and people to operate.
