Seven wishes granted for Halton Haven thanks to generous donation from Merseyflow

Halton Haven has been granted seven wishes by Mersey Gateway Bridge toll operator, merseyflow.

Merseyflow’s parent company emovis has agreed to buy several items on the Haven’s wishlist ranging from a new replacement patient buzzer system to an adjustable mobile laptop desk.

Also covered by the generous donation is a therapeutic bed, ward screens, a steam and vac cleaner plus a ride-on mower and a leaf blower, taking the total support to around £9,000.

“We are extremely pleased to receive this support from merseyflow and emovis. The items they are buying are all hugely important for the smooth running of the hospice both in terms of patient care and to ensure we maintain a welcoming environment for patients and their families and friends,”said Haven CEO Viv Culleton.

Merseyflow has been a regular supporter of the Haven and recently two members of staff donated £1,200 after completing an ultra-marathon and Liverpool’s Rock `n’ Roll half-marathon.

Helen Williams, Marketing Manager for merseyflow, said: “Halton Haven does some amazing work in the community here and we know that this support is going to make a difference which is why we’ve stepped in to show our support.”

She added: “Our staff have been working hard to raise funds for Halton Haven – which is our adopted charity – over the past 18 months and it is wonderful that as a company we have been able to support them in this way.”

Each year Halton Haven needs to raise more than £1.2 million to meet its annual running costs as it receives only 50% from statutory sources.
