Santa Dash 2026

Hundreds of Santas will take over the Silver Jubilee Bridge on Sunday 13 December as Halton Haven Hospice’s much-loved Santa Dash returns to raise vital funds for local hospice care.

This year’s new 3k route starts and finishes at West Bank Bears Rugby League Football Club, Hutchinson Street, Widnes, WA8 0PZ, taking participants across the bridge twice. Organisers are aiming for the biggest Santa Dash yet — a joyful day that brings the community together while backing the hospice’s essential work.

Halton Haven Hospice and event sponsor merseyflow are calling on people of all ages to pull on a Santa suit, join the fun and help fund the comfort, dignity and specialist end-of-life care the hospice provides across the community.

It marks the fifth year merseyflow has partnered with Halton Haven Hospice for the Santa Dash, with a team of employees once again joining the festive fun run.

Karen Rowe, Fundraising Manager at Halton Haven Hospice, said: “The Santa Dash is one of the highlights of our festive calendar. Every person who takes part helps us care for local people and families when they need it most. Together, we can make a real difference in Halton — and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for another unforgettable day of festive fun and community spirit, the new route will make the event even more special”.

Helen Williams, Marketing Manager for merseyflow, said: “We’re thrilled to support the Santa Dash again and can’t wait to see the bridge packed with Santas. Halton Haven Hospice makes an incredible difference across Halton, and we’re proud to champion its vital work. Our team is ready to pull on their Santa suits and join the festivities.”

Entry fees are £20 for adults and £10 for children aged 16 and under. Children under 5 can take part free of charge, although a Santa suit is not included. Dogs are welcome to join the event for £4, and family tickets are available for £50.

All paid registrations include a Santa suit, finisher’s medal, and mince pie. Children under 5 are encouraged to come dressed in their own festive fancy dress costume.
