Hundreds of Santas brought festive cheer to the Silver Jubilee Bridge last weekend as they took part in the annual 3km Santa Dash, helping to raise over £14,000 for a much-loved local hospice.
The colourful fun run is a key fundraiser, supporting Halton Haven Hospice’s vital work providing comfort, dignity, and specialist end-of-life care for people and families in the community.
This year’s event saw a fantastic turnout, with participants of all ages donning their Santa suits to help raise much-needed funds that will directly support patients and their loved ones.
Event sponsor merseyflow embraced the festive spirit too, entering a team of staff members who joined the sea of Santas making their way across the bridge.
Tina Robinson, Fundraising Manager at Halton Haven Hospice, said: “We are absolutely blown away by the generosity shown at this year’s Santa Dash. The funds raised will have a direct impact on the care and support we can provide, and we’d like to thank every single person who put on a Santa suit and took part.”
Helen Williams, Marketing Manager for Merseyflow, said: “The Santa Dash is always a lot of fun and seeing how many people show their support for the hospice is heart-warming. We’re delighted to play our part in supporting the vital work of Halton Haven Hospice.”
